In the third quarter of 2025, the top music and podcast applications in Nigeria showcased diverse performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Audiomack: Music Downloader experienced a consistent revenue stream, peaking at around $8.1K at the start of July and maintaining a steady average through the quarter. Downloads saw a notable increase, particularly in early September, reaching approximately 157K. Active users fluctuated, starting at 10.5M and ending the quarter at 10.4M.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts faced a declining revenue trend, starting at $37.9K and ending at $13.9K by the end of September. However, its download numbers remained stable, with weekly figures hovering around the 90K to 99K range. Active user numbers showed a slight increase, closing the quarter at approximately 4.8M.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts did not generate revenue but saw a steady rise in downloads, reaching a peak of about 63K in early September. Active users varied, peaking at 2.7M in mid-July before settling at 2.2M by the quarter's end.

Boomplay: Music & Live Stream showed a decreasing revenue trend, starting at $3.2K and dropping to $1.2K. Downloads remained stable, reaching up to 46K in early September. Active user numbers fluctuated but ended the quarter strong at approximately 5.5M.

Apple Music maintained a moderate revenue stream, peaking at $6.2K in late August. Downloads were consistent, with numbers ranging from 14K to 16K. However, active users saw a decline from 527K to 248K over the quarter.
